What could you do to update your house to fall back in love with your home?
We pride ourselves with a unique and surprisingly affordable approach to interiors. Drop-in or call us for a chat about how we can help you update your home. We can work with you to help you reach the potential of any space, from a busy family room to a relaxing bedroom.
We’re here to help you along the way and it’s up to you how far you would like our involvement.
- We start with a friendly chat in the shop, over the phone if you prefer to get to know you better and find out more about what you are trying to achieve.
- Our silver service is £300 where we follow up the initial chat with a home visit and consultation to really understand your needs and work with you to develop a personalised Pinterest board where we can share ideas.
- We then arrange an appointment in the shop to talk you through your mood board and share fabric books and accessorizing ideas. You will also take home plenty of other suggestions on how to adapt the proposed design to truly reflect your personality.
This is where we let you, “sleep on it” and we’ll give you a call in a few days to make sure you are still as excited about the proposal as you were in the shop and to see if you’d like our help with anything. If you want to implement any of the ideas you might move on to our platinum service and we can work with you from ordering items to finding the right suppliers and trades. Or, if you would rather hand the project management over to us, we can do that too.
Ask – our Interior designer.
Our senior designer is often available in the shop during the week or you can ask our friendly staff for more details. You decide how much help you’d like and we’ll work with you to accomplish your needs as efficiently as possible.
Whether de-cluttering, staging to sell or just being a space you want to go to spend time in, through innovative ideas and design solutions we will offer guidance to accomplish YOUR vision.

“Design Essentials did a great job in helping us to work out what we could do with the space we had in our lounge, while making sure that it did what we wanted. They gave us some great ideas, and showcased products on Pinterest and our own mood board that work well, and helped us to start finding the right products for us. They listened well to what we liked, and picked accordingly, both from their own stock and wider. We wouldn’t hesitate in using them again to help us cut through the clutter.” – Helen Neale, Editor , kiddycharts.com
“I appreciate that you took the time to listen to my ideas and thoughts and were able to incorporate them into your design. I particularly like the use of the colour palate of greens, reds, yellows and blues that we discussed. I also like that you were able to consolidate these ideas and give the room an identity by using a ‘Colonial’ theme. The layout and choice of furniture sits well with the room design and age of the property.” – Tracey McKernan
“We were really impressed with the Design Essentials interiors home consultation . The interior designer was amazing asking us questions about what we liked and didn’t like in the room and quickly tailored suggestions to areas she sensed that we were more comfortable with but balancing that with leading us into solutions we wouldn’t have come up with on our own.” – Louise in Saffron Walden
“We can’t thank Design Essentials enough for helping us to create the perfect living space in our first home. From the onset they listened to our likes and dislikes and needs and come up with some fantastic suggestions that stretched our imagination. Their friendly yet professional approach made us excited for our next consultation. We particularly loved the Pinterest board idea that meant we could both update each other on ideas we had seen with ease. Their attention to detail meant we created a space that was unique to us and really helped to capture our personalities. We will definitely be using them again in the future, and we highly recommend them to anyone needing to bring their ideas to life!” – Lucy Dalby & James Wesley
